CODE OF CONDUCT

Effective Date: March 19th 2026

1. Purpose

  1. Women and Waves is a networking community built to support, empower, and connect female entrepreneurs. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members to ensure a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment.

  2. By participating in Women and Waves, you agree to uphold these standards.

2. Respect & Professionalism

All members are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, kindness, and professionalism

  • Communicate in a constructive and supportive manner

  • Be inclusive and welcoming to members of all backgrounds, experiences, and business stages

Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

3. Community Integrity

To maintain a high-quality networking environment:

  • Be honest and authentic in your interactions

  • Represent your business and services truthfully

  • Avoid misleading claims, false credentials, or misrepresentation

4. Collaboration Over Competition

Women and Waves is built on collaboration, not competition.
Members agree to:

  • Support fellow members and celebrate their successes

  • Avoid undermining, discrediting, or speaking negatively about others

  • Engage in partnerships and referrals ethically

5. No Spam or Aggressive Selling

We encourage business promotion—but in a respectful, relationship-first way.

Members must not:

  • Spam the community with repeated or unsolicited promotions

  • Pressure or harass others into purchasing products or services

  • Use the network solely for self-promotion without contributing value

6. Confidentiality & Privacy

Members must respect the privacy of others.

  • Do not share personal or business information obtained through the community without consent

  • Respect confidential discussions and private conversations

  • Do not collect or use member information for external marketing without permission

7. Events & In-Person Conduct

At events and meetups, members are expected to:

  • Behave professionally and respectfully

  • Respect venue rules and staff

  • Ensure personal conduct reflects positively on the community

Any unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the event.

8. Online Conduct

For any online platforms, groups, or forums associated with Women and Waves:

  • Keep discussions respectful and relevant

  • Avoid offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content

  • Engage in a way that fosters a positive community environment

9. Enforcement

Women and Waves reserves the right to take action if this Code of Conduct is violated, including:

  • Issuing warnings

  • Removing content

  • Suspending or terminating membership without refund

Decisions will be made at our sole discretion to protect the integrity of the community.

10. Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to:

11. Agreement

By joining Women and Waves, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Member Code of Conduct.
